Your daily dose of Korean — one puzzle at a time
HanGuldle is a free Korean Wordle-style game portal featuring three daily puzzles that make learning Korean fun. Whether you're studying for TOPIK, obsessed with K-pop, or binge-watching K-dramas, there's a puzzle for you.
Every day at midnight KST (Korean Standard Time), all three games refresh with new puzzles. Everyone around the world gets the same questions, so you can compare scores with friends.
The original Korean Wordle experience. Guess a Korean word within 6 tries by typing individual jamo (consonants & vowels) based on the standard Korean keyboard layout. Each character is decomposed into keystrokes — compound vowels and final consonants are split into basic parts.
All words are nouns from TOPIK (Test of Proficiency in Korean) beginner & intermediate vocabulary. Choose from three difficulty levels: Easy (1 character), Normal (2 characters), or Hard (3 characters). Color feedback guides each guess — green for correct position, yellow for wrong position, gray for absent.
Five K-pop questions per day. Guess artist names, song titles, or missing words from titles — all by typing Korean characters. Unlike TOPIK Challenge, you guess at the character level (whole syllable blocks), not individual jamo.
Each question is worth 5 points. Wrong guesses reveal progressive hints (year → genre → initial consonants → English name) but cost 1 point each. Score up to 25 points across 5 questions.
Five K-drama questions per day. Guess actor names, drama titles, or missing words — same character-level mechanics and scoring as K-pop. Co-stars are shown for actor questions to help you narrow down the answer.
Dramas span 2015–2025 and include global hits from Netflix, Disney+, and major Korean networks. Same 5-point scoring system, progressive hints, and 25-point maximum.
Wordle's simple guess-and-feedback loop is the perfect format for language learning. HanGuldle adapts this mechanic specifically for Korean — the TOPIK Challenge teaches you how Hangul works at the keystroke level, while the K-pop and K-drama quizzes connect you with Korean pop culture. It's vocabulary practice disguised as a game.
